## Wild Apricot raised its prices — what are our options?

You have three real options: stay and trim your plan down, move to another established tool, or move to SorrelSites — where moving in is free, the price is month to month, and only active members count toward your plan. Whichever you choose, start by exporting your member list and checking your renewal calendar; both make every option easier.

A price-increase letter has a way of arriving right when the budget is already set. Before anything else: you don't have to decide this week. Your member list is yours to export any time, and knowing your options calmly beats switching in a hurry.

### Option one: stay, but trim

If the software otherwise works for you, look at what is driving the price. Many tools charge by the number of contacts in the database — not just active members — so an old list full of lapsed members and one-time event guests may be pushing you into a bigger plan. Archiving what you don't need can bring the number back down. It's worth asking about non-profit pricing too; the worst they can say is no.

### Option two: move to another established tool

There are several capable tools in this space, and the right one depends on what your organization actually does. If fundraising is the heart of your work, a donor-first tool may fit better than membership software. Whatever you look at, ask the same three questions: what does it cost at your real member count, who does the work of moving you in, and how hard is it to leave later.

### Option three: move to SorrelSites

Moving in is the part we do for you: Sprout, SorrelSites' AI, brings your member list across, reimagines your website, and accounts for every page at the end — kept, merged, left behind, or needs a photo. You review everything before it goes live, at no charge. Pricing is one clear number, month to month: $99 a month covers up to 100 active members, and only active members count, so lapsed members and old contacts never push you into a bigger plan. There's no setup fee and no cut of your dues.

### Whatever you choose, do these two things now

- Export your member list and keep the file. It's yours, it takes minutes, and every option gets easier with it in hand.
- Check your renewal calendar. If most of your renewals land in one month, plan any change so it settles in well before that month arrives.

The honest version: staying is sometimes the right call. But make it a decision, not a default — the price you'll pay next year is now on paper, and comparing takes an afternoon.
